And so it begins...

... the first post of Cambridge Tales.

The start of a storyteller's journey through Cambridge

Cambridge 2014. I return to my old college as Domestic Bursar of St John's College. Strange to be back in some ways. Happy memories though. Thirty years ago while reading Law, I met my wife Karina on the playing fields here during a hockey match. Now married with 2 grown-up boys, we are back to start this new adventure together.

Always wanted to write but never had the time....

Since leaving school I have always wanted to write, but somehow life got in the way. Career, family, volunteering.

In 2013, I decided to take writing more seriously and published two short stories for Black Library, before beginning work on my first novel set in Cambridge. While I was there ended up getting a job as the Domestic Bursar of my old college, St John's.

Cambridge is an inspiring place to be for a story teller and after finishing the novel, I wrote a ghost story "Come out to play," and am currently working on a children's adventure book "The Hidden Tales of Cambridge," all set in this ancient and mysterious city.
